CREATIVE BACKGROUND

Since 1983 Ludmila Kolková has successfully dedicated her professional art work to create handmade woven tapestries. These tapestries, with their large graphic paper-like design or landscape design, are finely structured in wool and always make a pleasing impression. The subtle colour schemes of her work make modern spacious interiors cosy and warm. Her tapestries come in both large and small formats. In the past she also made twin and triptych tapestries which give an overall impressive artistic effect. Lately she has been making paper collages, paintings, drawings and calligraphy, and has added consulting on interior designs to her portfolio. She co-operates closely with interior designers and her work has been used in business interiors, hotels, private surgeries, and law offices etc. Her work can be found in private collections in the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Slovakia and Iceland. She has participated with other artists in various exhibitions, but her solo exhibitions are the most successful.
